We are currently seeking a skilled Hadoop System Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and management of our Hadoop ecosystem, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Daily responsibilities will include configuring and maintaining Hadoop clusters, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for data storage and processing. You will work closely with data engineers and developers to support data analytics initiatives, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

This is a fully Remote position, allowing you to work seamlessly from anywhere within the UK. The standard working hours for this role are 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for Shift 1 and 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for Shift 2 as part of a rotational shift system. This flexible arrangement promotes a healthy work-life balance while ensuring that our team remains connected and collaborative.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Data Visualization and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux Administration.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing technologies and practices.
  • Solid understanding of Hadoop ecosystems and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
