We are currently seeking a skilled Hadoop System Administrator to join our dynamic team.

As a Hadoop System Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and optimising our Hadoop ecosystem. Your daily responsibilities will include configuring and maintaining Hadoop components, ensuring data availability and security, and collaborating with data engineers to develop efficient data pipelines. You will be pivotal in troubleshooting and resolving issues within the Hadoop cluster, ensuring seamless operation and performance. Your expertise will also contribute to the overall architecture and strategy of our data solutions, making a significant impact on our clients' success.

This is a fully Remote position, allowing you to work seamlessly from anywhere within the UK. The standard working hours for this role are 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for Shift 1 and 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for Shift 2 as part of a rotational shift system. This role offers flexibility while ensuring you remain integrated within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Data Visualisation techniques.
  • Strong background in Linux Administration.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing services and architectures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members.
