We are currently seeking a talented Hadoop Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our Hadoop ecosystem, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our infrastructure and supporting data analytics initiatives, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

This is a fully Remote position, allowing you to work seamlessly from anywhere within the UK. The standard working hours for this role are 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for Shift 1 and 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for Shift 2 as part of a rotational shift system. This flexibility ensures a balanced work-life dynamic while enabling you to contribute effectively to our team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
  • Proficient in Cloud Computing technologies and platforms.
  • Strong skills in Data Analysis and Data Visualisation techniques.
  • Expertise in Database Management and optimisation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
