As a Hadoop Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising our big data infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities will include configuring and maintaining Hadoop clusters, ensuring data integrity, and implementing best practices for data processing and storage. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects, enabling the organisation to leverage data for informed decision-making.

This is a fully Remote position, allowing you to work seamlessly from anywhere within the UK. The standard working hours for this role are 09:30 AM – 07:00 PM (approx. 9.5 hours per day) for both shifts. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while ensuring you remain integrated with the team through regular virtual collaboration.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience in database management and optimisation.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing technologies.
  • Solid experience in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and visualisation effectively.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in data collection and management processes.
